Since the easel has a bi-fold wood frame there are two art stations, one on each side. That means that 2 children can use the Melissas and Doug Deluxe Standing Easel at the same time.
It's also designed to let children experiment with several different art media. There is a dry erase board on one side, and on the other is a chalkboard. A dowel for holding a butcher paper roll is in between the two easel sides.
Not only that, but one tray has 4 spaces for paint cups and additional sections for paint brushes and other supplies, and a second tray is shaped like a long trough. It is just right for holding pens or chalk.
